Open Phone StageWhat you need
Phone Stage uses its iPhone app and this browser viewer together. Connect the phone and computer to a trusted local network where the devices can reach each other. Use a current desktop Chrome browser for the viewer.
The app sends the live screen and supported motion data to the viewer over the local network. This is a screen presentation tool; the viewer is not a remote mouse for controlling the iPhone.
Pair and start screen sharing
- Open Phone Stage on the iPhone and choose the option to add a browser. Keep the current connection information visible.
- Open the official Phone Stage viewer. Scan the device's QR code, or enter the current six-digit code and local address shown in the app.
- Complete the trust confirmation on the device and allow the local-network access needed for the connection. Only confirm a browser you recognize.
- When the viewer says it is ready, start the iPhone's system screen-sharing broadcast for Phone Stage. A paired browser alone does not mean the screen is already being shared.
- Check the live screen in the viewer and adjust the scene for your presentation. When finished, stop the system broadcast on the phone as well as disconnecting the viewer.
If the viewer cannot connect
Check that the phone app is open, its current local address is correct, and both devices can communicate. Guest networks and client isolation can prevent a direct connection even on the same Wi-Fi name.
If a code expires, generate fresh connection information in the app. If the browser is paired but waiting for a broadcast, start sharing on the phone. For a network change, update the saved device address. Check app-specific firewall and VPN rules rather than disabling protection for the whole computer.
Common questions
Can I connect across the public internet?
This viewer is designed for a direct local-network connection. Put the phone and computer on a reachable local network before pairing.
Does closing the viewer stop iPhone screen sharing?
End the system screen-sharing broadcast on the iPhone explicitly. Browser disconnection and the phone's broadcast control are separate steps.
